Helen Meany is an Australian writer whose debut novel Every Day is Gertie Day was a 2021 winner of Seizure’s Viva la Novella Prize. Her fiction has been published in three editions of the UTS Writers’ Anthology and performed live at Spineless Wonders’ Little Fictions events. She studied film and digital media at UNSW College of Fine Arts, Creative Writing at UTS and has worked as a writer for animation and gaming, a copywriter, music reviewer and film archivist. She lives and works on Gadigal land (Sydney).
